2020 here we come!
Throughout 2019, important steps in developing our brand new tank terminal have been made. Together with a consortium of contractors we look forward to further developing our terminal in the safest way. Around ten companies, from engineering companies to suppliers of building materials, will construct one of the most modern and safe liquid bulk storage terminals in the Netherlands. The new tank terminal will be the first terminal in the Netherlands that will be built according to the latest PGS 29 regulations for tank storage, meaning that the terminal will meet very high safety and environmental standards.

Construction works in full swing
Construction works on the 54 tanks are in full swing, the pipeline connection to the nearby refinery is nearly finished, and last but not least Port of Rotterdam will complete works on the maritime facilities at the end of 2019. These works consist of a 1,200 metre long deep-sea quay wall, a 1,000 metre-long quay wall for inland barges, together with a 350 metre long jetty.
A big compliment to all working on our construction site!
Together with our construction partners Visser & Smit Hanab, Ivens, Cegelec Fire Solutions and Ballast Nedam Industriebouw B.V. we have achieved 100,000 hours working without a lost time injury. The hours accumulated demonstrates the continued commitment of all to QEHS onsite. Sometimes it can be a challenging environment, like the past few days with a temperature above 30 degrees.
A well-deserved ice cream is a small sign of gratitude to all!
